All through this course I've been working steadily on the projects our class received. Out of all of the projects, I would have to say I'm most proud of my Personal Narrative. Because the focus of the story was on me I can tell the story better because I was a big part of it. Also, because the problem of the story was not caused caused by me, I can tell it without embarrassing myself. I had the most fun working on the Podcast. I had a partner to help even out the work and two heads were better than one for creating ideas. We had trouble with filing up the time requirement, so we decided to create some stupid commercials to tie in with our stories. This course showed me a lot of problems I have with writing assignments, from now on I will learn from these mistakes to improve things such as grammar and formatting issues in my papers. I learned lots of helpful things in this course such as improving the use of pathos, ethos, logos, kairos, rhetorical analysis, etc. Another problem I had was planning out when to work on these projects, I had lots of moments where I crammed at the last moment to finish my work. In the future, I hope to improve on not procrastinating and properly doing my work on time. The Rhetorical Analysis was my least favorite project to work on, mostly because I was bad with many of the concepts at the start, I pulled through in the end, but I struggled with it. Another reason I had trouble with that project was because it was the most... foreign to me, the Personal Narrative and Podcast were things I made from start to finish, so I understood the material perfectly, but with this I had trouble with figuring out the writer's thoughts sometimes.
For a self-assessment, I wouldn't say I've become a "master writer" at this point in time, I still have a lot to learn. But, I can tell I'm better than I was, or at least better I thought I would be. I had some glaring issues with my formatting in the papers and some obvious grammatical errors I should have noticed before, but I am starting to catch them more often with experience. The amount of writing I did definitely helped me practice and overcome some of the issues I had. The largest influences I had in this case were the Peer Reviews, they showed me what the other students focused on the most and least when writing, which made me change many things in my papers. During the Personal Narrative I found I wasn't putting enough focus on the details and added some confusing sentences which I changed, such as changing the description of the way my grandfather saw me and the list of junk in their car. Overall, my writing style stayed the same, but I improved many of the skills I used in it.
